Okay, so picture this: I had this idea to create a really unique dance floor. I wanted something that felt bouncy, looked natural, and had a bit of an artistic vibe. That’s where the “cushions dancing rubber tree assembled wooden flooring” came in. It was a mouthful, I know, but the concept was awesome in my head.

First, I gathered my materials. The main thing was finding the right kind of wood. I opted for reclaimed rubber tree wood because it’s sustainable and has this beautiful, light color. I found a local supplier who had a bunch of planks, already cut and dried, which saved me a ton of time.

Then came the “cushion” part. I didn’t want just any old padding. I wanted something that would really give a spring to each step. So, I experimented with a few things. I tried some dense foam, but it felt too stiff. I looked at cork, but it didn’t have enough bounce. Finally, I settled on these interlocking rubber tiles. They’re usually used for gyms, but they were perfect! They were durable, provided great cushioning, and were easy to work with.

The Assembly Process

  • I started by laying down a moisture barrier on the subfloor. This was super important to protect the wood from any potential dampness.
  • Next, I arranged the rubber tiles, interlocking them to create a solid, cushioned base. This was like putting together a giant, bouncy puzzle.
  • Then, I Started laying the rubber tree wood, I measured the first section, and I cut the wood, and then I put it on top of the rubber tiles.
  • Once all the wood was down, I applied, natural oil finish. And It made the floor very beautiful.

Finally,I tested! I can say that I am very happy, It really is like dancing on a cloud, and the look of that pale rubber tree wood is just gorgeous.
