Okay, so yesterday I decided to get my hands dirty with this project – making something using batten, volleyball, rubber, tree, and timber. Sounds like a weird combo, right? But I had this idea, and I just had to try it out.
Getting Started
First, I gathered all the materials. The timber and batten were easy – I had some leftover pieces from a previous project. I found some wood in my storage room. The rubber and tree were easy, I think maybe all from the tree.
- Some old timber
- Batten pieces
- Volleyball (an old deflated one)
- Rubber (cut from the volleyball)
The Messy Part
I started by cutting the volleyball. Let me tell you, that was tougher than I expected. The rubber was pretty thick, and my scissors weren’t exactly the best for the job. I used some tools and start *, I managed to cut out a few decent-sized pieces of rubber.
Next, I focused on the timber and batten. I wanted to create a frame, so I measured and cut the timber into four pieces to form a rectangle. Then, I used the batten to reinforce the corners, making the whole thing sturdier. I am not good at cutting, I try my best to make everthing in right size.
After, I attached the rubber pieces to the frame. This was where the tree stuff came in handy. I used a strong, natural * is easy to find. I applied it to the back of the rubber and pressed it firmly onto the timber frame.
The Final Touches
It took a while for everything to dry, but once it did, I was pretty happy with how it looked. I try to make it looked good, but unfortunatly I failed. Not perfect, but hey, I made it! And it was a fun experiment, mixing all those different materials. Now, I have this unique creation.
